So just to let everyone know, if the Lions win today they'll be facing the Seahawks next week at Century Link. If the Cowboys win, the Lions will be eliminated and the Seahawks will be facing the Panthers while I believe the Cowboys will be facing Green Bay.
We're back at the game now, and Murray has not been running very well today. Sure, it's early in the game but if this continues Dallas is screwed. Romo just threw an incomplete pass, and now the Cowboys are 3 and 10. They need something quick, and the Cowboys just converted on third down. Let's see if they can keep this momentum going.
First down at the 35-yard line I think...and gain of only three. Apparently their running back broke his arm during a game. Ouch.
The Lions have the ball right now, and I don't see Tate on the field right now. I'm sure he'll be back soon, seeing as he gave the Lions their first and only score of the game-oh wait, never mind, I just saw him. Go Lions! Calvin Johnson just made a catch, and one of the Detroit players is down and...I can't tell what's wrong with him...this is either a real injury or he's trying to give his team a break. It wouldn't the the first time. They just cut to commercials, so we'll probably get an update on him when we get back. Football is one of the most dangerous sports...imagine 200 pounds running at full speed right into you. The only way it would be any worse is if they decided to let AmTrak drivers run you over.
Okay, so the Lions are 2 and 1 right now. They should be able to convert this with little trouble, but we've seen some mistakes on 3 and short. All right, the Lions are in the red zone now, and the Dallas defensive coordinator can't be happy with what he's seeing. They're 2 and 10 now, and...Detroit touchdown! Golden Tate blocked on of the defensive linemen, and that block is the reason Detroit got that touchdown. The Lions are dominating this game so far, but we all know that games can change quickly, so I'm not counting Dallas out just yet.
Commercial break again. I'll be back in a moment.
