Okay, so they've been playing commercials for the past three minutes and right now they're showing a commercial that just mentioned Peyton Manning's neck injury...is this an omen? Never mind, now they're showing another Jack in the Box commercial. I seriously hate those commercials too. Don't even ask me why.
Well, we seem to be back at the game now. The game hasn't started yet, but it should kick off soon. Personally, I'm hoping for a Lions win today because I like their team better (except for Suh, but he's another story). This game should be interesting because one of the Cowboys (I don't even remember who anymore) has sworn to get revenge on Lions WR Golden Tate for a hit on Sean Lee last season (or the one before, I really don't know).
So the Lions just kicked off to the Cowboys, who will be starting at their own 20 yard line. First snap and...gain of only one yard. He's the Cowboys' leading rusher, so I would have expected him to gain a couple more. But it's only the first snap, so I'll let it slide.
Gain of two for the Cowboys, after the receiver almost lost the ball...oh, that was scary! Now the Cowboys are three-and-out after Romo overthrew his receiver.
Golden Tate is set to return the punt. I'm hoping that he has a good game, despite how I personally feel about him making that "Wilson is a pretty good quarterback, I guess" comment. I still don't know what's up with that "I guess" added at the end, but I'm sure he had his reasons. Oh well, no sense in brooding over it now.
The Lions are performing better than the Cowboys so far. Let's hope this continues, because I'm sure Stafford would love to improve a certain record he owns- he is 0-17 on the road against winning teams. Damn, I would really-oh wait, the Lions just got a touchdown! YES! *does happy dance* Okay, Tate, you are officially my favorite Lions receiver. I would like him more if he hadn't left Seattle though...but whatever.
Okay, commercial break now. I'll post the second update in a moment.
