All right, Dallas is 3rd and 2, so I assume they'll be able to convert...is their stadium indoors? I think I just saw a window, and the Cowboys just converted but a flag is down....offensive pass interference, so 3rd and 12 now. That was a stupid penalty...easy third down conversion, and they gave it up just like that. But now the Cowboys just scored, so it's a one-score game now, and THIS is what the Cowboys needed. Somehow I don't see them keeping this momentum though, and Stafford is about to go back to work. So 14-7 Detroit, and let's see what the Lions can do on this next drive. I would assume this is going to be the final drive of the half with 1:17 to go. So both teams have all three timeouts, and 2nd and 3 for the Lions now....and they just gained 13, and the Lions are going to take their first time out. Tony Romo is 8 of 16 in pass attempts so far, compared to Matthew Stafford at 13 of 17. Can you say fail? Okay, so Calvin Johnson just caught the ball on man-to-man coverage, and a gain of 19. First down at Dallas 41, and these Lions are really answering that last score by the Cowgirls...ah, I mean, Cowboys...sorry, I don't like them. And another catch by the Lions, with under 30 seconds to go in the half. It's 4th and 1, but it looks like Tate might have actually gotten the first down, so we'll just have to see if the call stands. Either way they seem to be within field goal range...and the call was reversed, so Detroit got a first down. That has to be a big blow to the Cowboys. They had a chance to hold Detroit to a field goal, and instead the Lions have another chance to make the score 21-7. I'm fairly certain the Cowboys fans are probably saying that the officials are full of BS right now after the call was reversed on 4th and 1. Okay, and almost intercepted by the Cowboys, and with 7 seconds left in the game Detroit has elected to try a field goal.
And Prater just made the field goal, so Detroit will go into the half with a 10-point lead. I'm going to go find my laptop charger now. I'll be back in a few minutes.
